Ready to Take on the Paras’ 10?
Why Force Fitness Supports the Paras’ 10
Everything we create at Force Fitness is inspired by the world’s most capable humans, from elite special forces to adventurers who thrive on challenge. That’s why we’re proud to sponsor the Paras’ 10 again in 2025. It’s closely linked to a real part of military life - the Parachute Regiment’s selection test – and there’s the option of a 10-mile endurance race or 10-mile tab in boots with a 35lb pack.
What’s the History of the Paras’ 10
The Paras’ 10 has been running since 1982, originally hosted by The Parachute Regiment in Aldershot. In 2008, it was revived and is now run by The Parachute Regiment’s training and selection wing. That’s one part of what makes the Paras’ 10 different to other fitness events. It’s a piece of military tradition that anyone can try (not often you get to do that!) More than 15,000 runners and tabbers/ruckers have tried it over the years.
So what exactly is the Paras’ 10? It's a 10-mile endurance event (either a multi-terrain run, or a tabbing option in boots with a 35lb pack), held on Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire. Complete it in under 1 hour 50 minutes and you’ve matched the pass standard for P Company selection. But all sorts of people take part, and you don’t have to chase the clock. Anyone who finishes earns the right to say they’ve taken on this legendary event.
This year, the Paras’ 10 Catterick is on Sunday 27th September 2025 – if you’re up for the challenge, enter here.
Our Shared Values and Ethos
Force Fitness is a brand for civilians, but we’re unashamedly inspired by the military. That’s partly why we’re so happy to support the Paras’ 10 again this year. The Paras’ 10 is built on the foundations of challenge, resilience, grit, and capability. The finish line is great, but it’s all about pushing your limits with a weighted pack on your back.
It’s everything we believe in – fitness that builds physical and mental strength you can call on when it counts. Like the Paras’ 10, our ethos is about putting the work in and proving yourself against a standard.
Rich’s Experience
Last year our boss Rich took on the Paras’ 10. He came away with even more respect for the event and for everyone who takes part. Rich is gutted he can’t take part this year, but Force Fitness is proud to play our part as sponsors. You’ll see our name on the t-shirts - a reminder of our support for the people taking part and for the cause it represents.
Putting Our Name to a Cause
The Paras’ 10 is a personal challenge that does a lot of wider good. All proceeds go to Airborne Forces charities, supporting serving soldiers, veterans, and their families. For us, that’s another reason to get behind this event. It’s proof that personal fitness can be part of something bigger.

Ready to Take on the Paras’ 10?
It’s not too late to enter this year’s Paras’ 10 – enter here. Or put it on your calendar for 2026. Set the goal now, and you’ll have nearly a year to build the endurance to run or ruck/tab 10 miles. And this time next year, you’ll be about to experience something few civilians ever will.
How to Train for the Paras’ 10
If you’re keen to do the event next year, and you’re eyeing up the Paras’ 10 tab option, start building up to long rucks with 10–12kg before progressing to 16kg. Mix in hill work and strength sessions, and don’t neglect recovery (you’ve got plenty of time to train). And don’t forget to train your mindset, too! 10 miles with a pack is tough, so don’t let your mind be your weakest link.
Get to a point where you’re not just getting round but you can enjoy it (or at least take in your surroundings!)
Final Thoughts
We’ll always stand with challenges that demand more from you. We’re proud to support the Paras’ 10 – an event that tests much more than your fitness and strength. Stuff like this is where training meets purpose, and we’re fully in support of it.
