Fitness Tests of the US S.W.A.T Teams

S.W.A.T. units are recognized as one of the most challenging elite police units globally.
Selection Criteria:
- To qualify for the selection course, candidates must have completed a rigorous 6-month police academy and served as a police officer for at least a year.
- Satisfactory scores on yearly and monthly evaluations are prerequisites.

Chart Standards Police Special Response Team:

- Jump and Climb over a 2-meter wall.

- Climb up a 10-meter high rope.

- Don't use your legs at all while hanging for 45 seconds.

100 Yard Sprint
- Complete in less than 15 seconds.

100 Yard Firemen Carry
- Full sprint without slowing down.

1.5-mile run
- Must be accomplished in less than 12 minutes.

400 Yard Swim
- Not timed, but not allowed to stop.

Tower Jump
- On-command jump from a 10-meter tower into water.

Tread Water
- Keep head above water for 10 minutes.

Benchpress
- Bench your Bodyweight + 25 lbs at least once.

Pullups
- Dead Hang Pull-ups with 25 lbs at least 5x.

Pushups
- At least 42 reps in 1 min.

Sit-Ups
- At least 39 reps in 1 min.

Hack Squat
- 1 max rep with 100 lbs over bodyweight.
Physical Requirements S.W.A.T.:
- The test comprises 14 exercises completed consecutively.
- Events include wall climb, rope climb, sprint, swim, tower jump, and more.
- Candidates receive minimal breaks during the test.
- Accuracy and proper form are crucial in evaluations.
